Ted Nordgaarden

I was born in Sandpoint Idaho as a part of a large extended family,
whose paternal grandmother had 11 children. I was fortunate to
grow up in paradise, waterskiing, skiing, fishing, hunting, among all
the other activities the Northwest offers.
I initially served 4 years in USAF and was honorably discharged. I
started my public safety career in the civilian world but continued
military service by joining the Idaho Army National Guard, serving for
over 18 years, and retiring as a Captain.
My public safety career took me from Idaho to Kosovo, Iraq and
Alaska. My careers have given me a great deal of experience in
interviewing, negotiating, and working with a vast array of people
from all over the world. You can expect my experiences to allow me
to work in your best interest whether you are buying or selling your
home. As a veteran I am well versed in the trials of a military family
on the move. Whether it is finding a new home or having to move,
there never seems to be enough time. I will be thrilled to assist in
making that as seamless as possible.
My wife and I moved to Otero County in 2024 to start a new chapter
in our lives. Oksana is a local bank branch manager, while I will
pursue real estate as new career as well as some retirement pursuits.
We have moved our household across the US, from Florida to Idaho
and on to Alaska. We know the stresses of buying and selling our
home, as well as packing and moving ourselves.
I enjoy spending my free time in the outdoors, hunting, and skiing. I
also enjoy renovating my home and working on the odd mechanical
toy. My father instilled the work ethic of do it right the first time and
to do it yourself whenever possible. I have and continue to work as
such so you can expect me to be in your corner. You will find I have
a broad base of experiences that will at your disposal. I look forward
to serving you and your family.
